The German bank’s private banking arm is poaching from British rival HSBC, in a bid to bolster its business with the super-rich.
Frankfurt-based Deutsche Bank is hiring Paul Sayers as the head of its international private bank for Africa, effective December 1, according to a memo seen by finews.com on Thursday. The British wealth manager is currently with HSBC, where he is a managing director responsible for South Africa.
Three senior HSBC relationship and investment managers are joining Sayers, who will be based in Zurich, at Deutsche. They are complemented by existing Deutsche bankers Daniel Crafford and Kevin Boux as well as investment manager David Dizerens.
